Elmgreen
The Elmgreen School has become a vibrant and creative learning community since it opened in September 2007. Our foundation year students and their families have been the pioneers of a unique and successful educational community based on the key values established before the school opened. The students have created a culture firmly rooted in respect for themselves, each other, their school and their community. ‘The Elmgreen Way’ has become a clearly understood way of learning and developing. We expect our young people to graduate from the upper school as well qualified, free thinking, independent learners who are equipped to make a positive contribution as citizens of our local area, our country and our world.
The Elmgreen School Sixth Form, in collaboration with our partner schools in SL6, offers students a broad and balanced curriculum in line with our beliefs for the whole school, alongside further exciting opportunities to develop as an individual. This allows our students to be well prepared to deal confidently with the challenges they will face in the future, whether in higher education, further education or employment.
Whist most of our sixth form students will have been with us since Year 7 we welcome applications from students new to the school. Students who join us are made welcome and become a full member of the community quickly.
We have a range of specialist facilities for sixth form use, such as our sixth from study area attached to our library. Here they have access to qualified staff and IT equipment. Sixth Form students also benefit from their own catering facilities, specialist staff to assist with UCAS applications and personal tutoring, whilst at the same time having plenty of opportunities to be a key part of the upper and lower schools.
Our prospectus is available on this website and our main school website. Prospective students are welcome to contact the school to arrange a visit and see the way we teach and how we can meet your post-16 educational needs.
